Fragments
The three of us met at the Atlantic Center for the Arts in May 2004. During that time we did some writing and recording and the results were a really exciting mixture of chamber music and improv. This March ('05) we'll be reuniting for a recording and some performances here in the Bay Area. I'm very excited about this group. Press kit in pdf format. http://www.fragments-music.com

Boots/Hill Duet
These past few months Cornelius has been putting me through bass clarinet "boot" camp with his very rigorous and difficult Edmund Welles charts as well as pushing my altissimo higher than I thought humanly possible (the dogs love me when my practice). So I'm returning the favor with some musical repertoire of my own. Cornelius - if you haven't heard him already, is a very accomplished and musical cat and has really made these duos come alive. |

Scott Hill Ensemble
Initially I formed this group to perform the collection of work I've recorded on my last two CDs. I'm evolving the repertoire to include new works exploring relationship of clarinet and accordion more deeply with my own take on the psuedo-ethnic. |

Edmund Welles Bass Clarinet Quartet
This is the world’s only original, composing band of four bass clarinetists. Using the sonorous timbre of this potent instrumentation, Edmund Welles invents and performs heavy chamber music, muzak for conspiracy theorists, songs of lunacy and purpose. Original tunes featuring rhythmic convolutions, incessant bass lines and hooky melodies with a few arrangements of music from groups such as Black Sabbath and Sepultura. Creativity and accessibility are primary among the artistic merits of this chamber group. Recipient of a 2004 Chamber Music America: New Works commission. More info : http://www.edmundwelles.com |
